About the Artist

Eric is a physician, husband, father of four grown children and has a unique passion for the art of woodturning.

His interest in woodturning began in the 1990’s after taking a class in pen turning. Over the years, he has developed an interest in ever larger and more complex pieces. He enjoys the challenge of creating one-of-a-kind pieces on the lathe from locally harvested woods as well as select woods from throughout the world. He also enjoys the challenge of making many of his own woodturning tools to meet his needs on a particular piece. He specializes in both functional and artistic turnings.

Eric is a member of the American Association of Woodturners, Louisville Area Woodturners and is the past president of the Indiana-Kentucky-Illinois Woodturning Club.

Eric’s art is highly sought after by collectors as well as his woodturning peers. His work is marketed in a few select galleries throughout the United States and is included in the permanent collection at the Evansville Museum and in several private collections. His work has been featured in American Woodturner Magazine as well as in Evansville Living Magazine and local newspapers.
